Paul and Silas were in some terrible circumstances. They were probably hating life! They had just been thrown into prison. Nobody that I know enjoys being cast into prison. However, in spite of their circumstances, Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises to God! They didn’t let their circumstances dictate their attitude. This is something that I need to learn in my life! If I am overseas, then I will probably encounter some difficult circumstances. I will probably have some hard times in my life and I cannot let those things mess up my attitude. I need to learn to rejoice in God no matter the circumstances!
