My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, And are spent without hope. O remember that my life is wind: Mine eye shall no more see good Job 7:6-7
Job understands that life is short! He compares life to a weaver’s shuttle and to wind. In Job’s time people used to weave their own cloth. They would use a shuttle to help them weave. After years of experience many of the weavers could move the shuttle rapidly. Job realizes that his life is moving quickly. He says that life is like wind. It is there one moment and gone one moment. We need to remember that life is short and we only have one shot to live it so we should probably live it for Jesus! What are you doing with your life?
