Think about a man who is not afraid of anything. He talks big but he also walks big! He doesn’t care what people say. He is going to do what he said that he would do. In fact, some of his identity may be built on the fact that he is not scared of anything. If we take a look at Peter, I think that we can see that he would exemplify this man. He had told Jesus that he would never leave Him or deny Him. However, we see hear that he does just that! He was looking to his own strength and it failed him. I think in my life many times I look to my own power to sustain me. If I look to my own resolve and power I will fail! Peter was probably one of the strongest men in the Bible and he failed. Only by trusting in what Jesus has done can we succeed!
