And Micaiah said, As the Lord liveth, even what my God saith, that will I speak. 2 Chronicles 18:13
The king’s messengers showed up at Micaiah’s house. The king wanted to speak with him. The king wanted his advice. However, these messengers gave Micaiah some advice. They told him to tell the king what he wanted to hear. They told him to speak like the other prophets who said what the king liked to hear. However, Micaiah determined to only speak what God would have him speak. It would have been easier to say what the king wanted but Micaiah only said what God wanted. This is a great example to me in my life! I should only say what God would have me to say. It might be easier to say other things but I must only say things that would please God.
