The Bible says in Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Some of you may be wondering why I even want to go to another country. You may be wondering why I am not just staying here in the USA. You may even think it is a waste of time to go across the world to preach the Gospel. I was recently reading these verses in Philippians, and they made it very clear to me why I should go overseas. If I am just thinking about my comfort and happiness then it would make sense to stay here in America. But, if I am obeying these verses, it is very obvious that I need to think about the needs of others! I need to consider where the millions of lost souls in Peru are going. I need to be concerned about their eternal destiny. If I have this mindset, it makes total sense to go over and preach the gospel of Jesus to another country!
A few things you can pray for this week are:
- An Impact Week at the Our Generation Training Center for students interested in missions
- A teenager I was able to start discipleship with!
- A praise that God has already provided 30% of support for my Peru trip!
